Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor to support our client’s medical facility based in Lenexa KS 66219
This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Lenexa, KS 66219
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday from 2 am to 1030am CT
Pay Range: $17-$18 offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Basic Purpose:
Pre-Analytical Assistant I is responsible for general support functions within the Technical Operations Department.
Job Accountabilities:
- Learn job duties and how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing affect quality.
- Identify and resolve issues with specimens and missing information.
- Understand and research test ordering compliance policies.
- Meet quality and production standards within 6 months.
- Complete required documentation legibly and on time.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and support during coworker absences.
- Learn additional functions to progress to the next level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Environment and Requirements:
- Multitask in a production environment
- Effective communication with all staff
- Maintain composure under pressure
- Follow safety and compliance standards in a biohazard environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver specimen racks
- Flexible work schedule
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical background preferred
- Experience in production environments and familiarity with computers is a plus
