What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Processor position at Pride Health?
Pride Health is seeking candidates for Laboratory Assistant opportunity for Calabasas Hills, CA.This is a 3 months contract role with possibility for extension or conversion to FTE.
Pay Range : $16-18 / hr
Schedule : Various Shifts
Sunday- Tuesday 10 pm- 6 : 30 am
Tuesday through Saturday 10 pm- 6 : 30 am
Tuesday through Saturday 7 pm- 3 : 30 am
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Receive and sort clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis.
Prepare specimens and ensure accurate scanning / data entry of specimen and patient information.
Perform minor maintenance on lab equipment and ensure proper functionality.
Troubleshoot specimen-related issues as needed.
Replenish test bench supplies when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Complete record logs and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Medical laboratory background Preferred.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED.
Data entry skills preferred.
Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
Prefer familiarity with mainframe computer operating system.
