Pride Health is hiring a Retail Pharmacist to support our client's medical facility in Mauston, WI. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Position : Retail Pharmacist
Location : Mauston, WI 53948
Shift : Full-time, Monday - Friday (shifts vary, 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm), every 3rd Saturday 8am-1pm
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Job Summary :
The Staff Pharmacist ensures the safe and legal procurement, preparation, dispensing, and administration of medications in a retail pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Retail dispensing and home health aid support
- Take verbal prescriptions, fill prescriptions, dispense, and provide consultation
- Perform pharmaceutical compounding activities
- Provide clinical services including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, and drug information / education
- Participate in departmental quality control and assurance programs
- Oversee inventory control (ordering, receiving, stocking, shipping)
- Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians
- Follow Medicare Accreditation policies and procedures
- Administer vaccines
- Counsel patients and correct prescriptions as needed
