The position of travel CT technologist involves utilizing advanced medical imaging technology to produce high-quality images of patients for diagnostic purposes. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintain equipment, update software, and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal scanner performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, advancements in technology, and best practices in CT scanning
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) or Certified Technologist (CT)
- 1 years of experience in CT scanning, preferably in an acute-care setting
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, cross-sectional imaging, and radiation safety protocols
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and safely around the department
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
