Job Summary
A Respiratory Therapist is needed for a travel assignment in Summit, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a hospital or physician's office setting and be certified as an RRT.
About the Job
This is a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week, working 8-hour night shifts. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care services, including pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care services with emphasis on pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices
- Support requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers
- Assist in training on use of inhalers
- Set up patients with DME equipment
- Work closely with physicians
Requirements
- RRT certification required
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or physician's office setting required
- Computer literacy required
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
