Job Description:
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shift: 8am-4:30pm
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $2150.00- $2280.00 Weekly DOE
Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled ultrasound technician to be responsible for operating sonographic scanners to capture images of patients' internal organs and expectant mothers' developing fetuses. The ultrasound technician may specialize or work in a broad array of specialties including obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds, and neurological, breast, heart, or abdominal sonography. You may also assist radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedure and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and provide support.
- Apply ultrasound gel and position the transducer for imaging.
- Adjust scanner settings and capture high-quality images.
- Select and present sonograms for physician review.
- Evaluate image quality and assist in diagnosis.
- Document procedures and maintain patient records.
- Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and procedure rooms.
- Assist radiologists with vascular ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years within the specialty, Must have Breast or Vascular ultrasound experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- No local candidates within 50 miles
