Medical Technologist

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist (MT) to join our healthcare team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a 40-hour per week, 13-week contract position offering guaranteed hours. Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist will assist in delivering comprehensive laboratory services, including blood bank, chemistry, and hematology. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in laboratory sciences, including extensive experience in various lab disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology.
• Ensure accurate and timely results for clinical testing.
• Prepare and process patient specimens in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functionality.
• Perform quality control checks and participate in proficiency testing.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to remain up-to-date with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with training in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology.
• Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and data analysis.
• Certifications: Must be trained and experienced in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology.
• Other Requirements: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
