Pride Health is hiring an Associate Med Tech I to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Birmingham, AL. This is a 26 week contract position and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Med Tech I to join our team in Birmingham, AL. As part of our diagnostics team, you will play a crucial role in performing laboratory testing in the Micro Lab. This is an excellent opportunity for those with experience in microbiology and laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Plating, streaking, and setting up microbiology tests.

·         Answering phone calls and responding to laboratory inquiries.

·         Performing a variety of lab-based tasks in line with clinical standards.

·         Supporting the daily operations of the lab with proficiency in microbiology testing procedures.

·         Communicating effectively within the team and with external departments.

Qualifications:

·         2-year Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology (MLT) with relevant experience.

·         Experience with microbiology specimens, particularly plating and streaking.

·         Familiarity with Cerner Pathnet Laboratory Information System (LIS).

·         Must be able to pass a color vision screening.

·         ASCP or AMT certification (preferred, but open to eligible/registered candidates).

·         Location: Birmingham, AL

·         Job Type: 26 weeks Contract

·         Shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, (7 On, 7 Off)

·         Pay Range: $20-$23 Hourly W2
