Pride Health is Hiring: Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Location: North Charleston, SC 29405
Schedule: M- F 530a-100p and
Saturdays 530a-730a
- North Charleston, SC 29405 for the hours of 5:30 PM - 7:30 AM, Following that, they will travel to one of our PSCs located at North Charleston, SC 29405 for the remainder of the day.
Pay Range: $17-$19 per hour (Offered pay rate based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials)
This is a 03 contract position with potential for extension, providing a great opportunity to work with a leading healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and conduct decontamination procedures.
Collect and store specimens according to established protocols.
Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture (blood draw) process, as well as other specimen collection procedures (e.g., urine, fecal) as required.
Demonstrate proper technique using straight and butterfly needles.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens according to test orders.
Package specimens for transport and ensure they are stored at the correct temperature.
Follow specific procedures for labeling and handling specimens to maintain integrity for transport.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1yr of direct phlebotomy experience required.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Pay rate is determined based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
