What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multi-Lines Quality Inspector (7:00am to 3:30pm) position at Pride Mobility Products Corp.?
Hourly Rate: $17.75
DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
Perform various tasks including inspections of Finished Devices by using various measuring techniques, visual inspections, and dimensional tests at the time of receiving, assembling fabricated parts and product packaging
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Perform incoming/stock inspections by utilizing fit, form and function procedures on Finished Devices and Seating Systems
•Ensure conformance to order specifications and FDA regulations on final inspections in a specified department, area, or designated line
•Perform Work in Process (WIP) product conversions to help adjust inventory levels to meet customer demand
•Inspect, test, and disposition rejected Finished Devices and components
•Sort parts and components as needed
•Perform order verification on customized orders
•Consolidate shipping of finished devices and accessories
•Evaluate weld quality and inspection for finished goods and materials
•Conduct screening and/or rework on nonconforming product per rework instructions
•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times, utilizing 5-S principles
•Encourage positive communication among team members by providing an environment that is trust-oriented
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
•Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Read and interpret work instructions, work orders, inspection criteria, company policies, and procedures
•Identify and record facts
•Use a hydraulic lift, small hand tools, and electronic testing equipment
•Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision
•Utilize testing and inspection equipment including Go/No-Go gauges, measuring tape, and other special purpose inspection tools
•Use basic mathematical skills in resolution of measurement related problems
•Lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
•Be cross trained for multiple jobs within an assigned work area(s)
•Work in a non-climate control environment
Must have:
•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate daily results, concerns, issues and challenges to management
•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
PREFERRED SKILLS
•Basic working knowledge of Oracle preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 6 months of Quality Assurance experience, OR at least 1 year of experience in a hands-on assembly or manufacturing role with specific quality guidelines/standards
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 6 months of experience in a Receiving, In-process, or Final Acceptance Quality Inspector related role preferred
•At least 1 year of powered industrial truck operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or GED preferred
