DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
To maintain the highest level of quality of the manufacturing processes and fabrication of parts for the Quality Department
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Ensure conformance to specifications and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations on inspections in specified departments, including but not limited to Quantum Fabrication, CNC Programming, First Article Inspection, and Production
•Perform inspections, final inspections and internal audits of raw material, fabricated materials, assemblies, and capital products with precision measuring tools and gauges
•Assist in design and determination of proper inspection tools for components and raw material
•Perform scheduled and nonscheduled inspections of raw material, fabricated material, assemblies, and capital products
•Perform weekly inventory verifications and counts
•Read and translate blueprints, schematics and manuals to perform inspections, audits and other related tasks
•Maintain inspection equipment, tools, fixtures and gauges to meet the specified requirements and/or calibration procedures
•Communicate non-conformance issues to Quality Manager, Quality Team Leader and other Engineering teams
•Process rejected and non-conforming material
•Utilize Pride Systems to coordinate and support daily production needs to ensure that all pertinent information is documented and recorded onto the Device History Record (DHR)
•Assist in troubleshooting customer complaints to determine root cause and preventative action
•Assist in First Pass Yield (FPY) documentation and analysis
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times, utilizing 7S principles
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
•Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Safely be near heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants
•Work on the Production floor near heavy equipment
•Effectively work and communicate with coworkers
•Perform duties assigned with minimal supervision
•Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs.
Must have:
•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Intermediate working knowledge of reading and interpreting work instructions, blueprints, schematics, work orders, inspection criteria, tape measures, protractors, tape measures and company policies and procedures independently
•Basic working knowledge using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and GO/no go gauges
•Intermediate computer and technical skills
•Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Strong understanding of production procedures
•Proven quality inspection skills
•Strong mathematical and analytical skills
•Good verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 1 year of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing work environment preferred
•At least 3 years of experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment preferred
•At least 5 years of experience utilizing Calipers, Micrometers, custom gauges and dial indicators preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION
•Technical School training in a related field preferred
•American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
