Join the Pride Inc. team as a Shared Living Provider for the opportunity to help a person in his late 20's live his best life. The ideal candidate will live in the Central Vermont area.
This young man suffered several strokes in the past. He's a kind man who enjoys alone time, playing video games or watching TV movies. He is full assist and is unable to walk or lift himself. He is bed bound and seems to enjoy the life he has.
He has a wheelchair and would need wheelchair accessibility. He loves animals and food.
You would be the lead caregiver, with access to Respite.
At Pride, Inc. we use Person Centered Thinking Practices to help individuals have positive control and choice about the services they receive and the settings in which they live.
The SLP will be supported with a generous tax-free Difficulty of Care stipend, training and a Respite budget. A negotiated Room and Board Agreement (LIA) is also paid for by the participant.
The Home Provider will provide support in Activities of Daily Living with warmth and compassion. Team Meetings are a requirement. Good communication skills a must, and daily documentation of Client activities related to his goals.
Clean criminal background checks and a home safety inspection are required prior to contracting. A clean Driver's record, a valid VT Driver's license, Auto Insurance ($100,00/$300,00 Liability) as well as homeowner/renter's liability insurance ($500,000) are required.
