What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Service Coordinator position at Pride Transport?
General Summary: Coordinates and facilitates repairs outside of our terminal. Provide exceptional customer service to our driving fleet with regards to the maintenance of their assigned equipment.
Ensures that tasks are performed in a safe, professional, and timely manner as to best represent Pride Transport. This person is an example of and perpetuates the company’s culture, The PRIDE Way.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay Range: $19.00/hr , DOE

Essential Job Functions:
- Assist drivers with on-road repairs.
- Conduct incident assessment and determine if any corrective actions are required.
- Locate the closest repair facility.
- Follow up periodically and communicate changes with operations.
- Request invoice copies
- Use road service manual as reference.
- Answer incoming calls and emails.
- Assess problems remotely determine if repairs are required.
- Locate the appropriate vendor closest to the breakdown to ensure minimum wait time, competitive pricing, and quality repairs to minimize cost.
- Establish repair authorization, pricing controls, and review invoices.
- Create work orders and purchases orders for authorized repairs.
- Review repair invoices for accuracy in pricing and repair completion.
- Coordinate and schedule service (including vendors) and give the driver an accurate start and completion time.
- Update the Road Call Center screens so accurate Estimated Completion Times (ECTs) can be given to drivers.
- Responsible for communication with drivers at the repair location.
- Responsible for driver relationship to include issue resolutions, satisfaction, and retention and ensure vehicle uptime during the maintenance/repair process.
- Educate drivers on the operation and features of their equipment.
- Coordinate repairs operations and customer service.
- Attendance is an essential job function.
- Perform other task/duties as assigned by management.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to plan, budget, schedule, and facilitate multiple projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with operations in scheduling PM’s utilization of assets.
- Discusses preventive techniques with drivers to minimize future repairs.

- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management software

- Demonstrated planning, organizing, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to details and ensure accuracy.
- Customer service orientated oral and written communication and teambuilding skills.
- Must possess a high level of stress tolerance and the ability to multi-task.
