Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I (Part Time)to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Edenton, NC. This is a 13 week contract position and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to join our client’s facility in Edenton, NC team. The PSR I plays a critical role in interacting directly with patients to collect blood samples for testing. You will be expected to draw blood samples from patients of all ages (pediatric and geriatric) and prepare those specimens for lab testing, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient care. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to always maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Draw blood samples, including forensic and clinical specimens, following established practices and procedures.

· Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and confidence during blood collection.

· Maintain required records and documentation accurately.

· Ensure a safe and professional environment at all times.

· Demonstrate organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.

· Phlebotomy certification preferred.

· Excellent phlebotomy skills with experience in pediatric and geriatric patients.

· Experience with keyboard/data entry.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong customer service experience, especially in a retail or service environment.

· Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

· Job Type: 13 weeks Contract

· Shift: Tue & Thursday: 8AM-5:15 PM, Fri: 8AM-3:30 PM

· Pay Range: $17-$19 Hourly W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
