PrideNow is seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics for 3rd Shift in Wharton, NJ! Our partner is the world’s largest bottler for retailers and A-brands. Their products are distributed worldwide from our production sites in Europe and North America! Candidates must have their own tools, after 6 months with the company you will be given a tool allowance to purchase more tools.
Job Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic in this role is responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment requiring a strong mechanical skills base to include: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyor systems and PLC usage is a plus.
Pay Rate: $30-32/hr. BOE
Shift: Candidates will train on 1st shift 6am-230pm for an extended period of time before moving to 3rd Shift (10pm-630am)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.
- Initial responder when a line stops producing and assures that the appropriate mechanical help is on site to correct any problems quickly using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
- Prioritizes work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
- Support the facility’s food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Required Skills:
- Three (3) plus years’ experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance required.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $30 and $32 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other sponsored benefit programs offered by this client
