PrideNow is hiring skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for one of our HVAC manufacturing clients in Trenton, NJ.
Pay: $29.25/Hour
Shifts:
- 1st shift – Mon–Fri, 6am-2pm
- 2nd shift – Mon–Fri, 2pm-10pm
- 3rd shift – Sun–Thurs, 10pm-6am
- 4th shift – Fri–Sat–Sun, 6am-6pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operations by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Identify issues by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring/testing instruments.
- Dismantle defective parts using hoists, hand, and power tools; inspect parts for wear and texture.
- Measure and adjust part dimensions with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rules.
- Use hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges to adjust parts and instruments.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools like vertical milling machines, drill presses, lathes, and welding.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock and placing orders as needed.
- Preserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Attend educational workshops, review technical publications, and build personal networks to maintain technical knowledge.
- Communicate actions, irregularities, and needs to maintain work team continuity.
- Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Communicate effectively to resolve mechanical issues.
- Participate in on-the-job training for mechanics and apprentices.
- Use computerized maintenance systems to retrieve and enter information.
- Follow safe work practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have journeyman’s papers or an equivalent degree with 3 to 5 years of experience performing complex work in industrial maintenance as a machine repair mechanic.
- Ability to read blueprints, lay out, install, and maintain various equipment.
- Physical examination required.
