Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager, to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of our property management team, ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and that tenant needs are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a solid understanding of property management practices.
Duties
- Assist the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the property, including maintenance, leasing, and tenant relations.
- Manage tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism and effective phone etiquette.
- Oversite of Occupancy, Renewals, Delinquency, Evictions
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant applications, lease agreements, and maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with safety standards and address any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support leasing efforts by conducting property showings and assisting with the sales process.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and office correspondence.
- Facilitate conflict management between tenants when necessary to promote a harmonious living environment.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations is a plus.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data entry and office software.
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism.
- A background in sales or law can be beneficial for understanding leasing agreements and tenant interactions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
