Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the leasing process, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining positive relationships with residents. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and the ability to effectively manage conflicts. Experience with student housing and Entrata software is a plus.
Duties
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, showcasing available units and highlighting features.
- Manage the leasing process from application to contract signing, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Utilize Entrata and other property management software to maintain accurate records of tenant files and contracts.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, employing conflict management techniques as necessary.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
- Assist in the marketing of available properties through various channels to attract potential tenants.
- Stay informed about local housing regulations and requirements, to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property leasing or property management is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and property management software such as Entrata and Yardi.
- Knowledge of leasing contracts and regulatory compliance related to property leasing.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing files and documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with tenants and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
