Job Responsibilities for Accounting Manager:
- Prepare and Analyze Financial Statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement)
- Establish and review of month-end close activities and reconciliations
- Review labor and procurement charging activities and cost center
- Managing and analyzing the financial aspects of various programs or projects within a company
- Providing recommendations for cost savings or revenue generation
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and relative reports for specified profit and cost centers to monitor overall financial performance for use in annual strategic planning and budget presentations to financial and operating management
- Prepare contract and funding status/backlog reports, project performance reports, and monitors any "at risk" spending
- Material purchase order review and approval
- Implement EAC analysis and updates, including monthly PM review
Accounting Manager Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years in leadership roles
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Proven track record in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Sharp analytical mind coupled with creative problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementations
- Uncompromising ethical standards and personal integrity
- Adaptability and resilience in the face of changing business needs
