Warehouse Associate (Temporary)

PrideStaff is looking for Warehouse Associate to assist a busy client in the Port Charlotte, FL area. This assignment is projected to last approximately 1 to 3 weeks depending on production needs. 

Shift: Monday-Friday;9am to 5pm (Must be available to work up to 2 hours of overtime each day)
Location: Port Charlotte, FL
 

Warehouse Associate Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse and/or order picking or related worked experience is required.
• Previous receiving experience is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work while standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting for the entire duration of the shift.
• Must be able to work outside in the heat and sun frequently.
• Using a pallet jack, must have the ability to push over 100 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• An ability and willingness to keep work area clean and organized.
• Must be detail oriented and great at counting.
• Must be able to use a pallet jack.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for stocking cases of product in the warehouse.
• Responsible for picking the cases of product with a 'hawk-eye' attention to detail.
• Build pallets with the picked cases of product paying special attention to weight and height dimensions of the pallet being built.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments when needed.
• Verify inventory system counts against the physical counts of stock.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Separate and stock warehouse products as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices in the warehouse.
• Verbally communicate with other staff on a regular basis.
• Other warehouse duties and special projects as requested.
