Position Summary :
Provide results driven leadership for purchasing, quality and materials for the
company. A focus on purchasing, continuous improvement and optimizing processes. Manage
procurement from the sourcing of raw material until the product ships to the customer striving towards
deadlines as well as producing quality product at an affordable cost.
Primary Responsibilities :
Coordinate with multiple departments and their requisition needs.
Issue and maintain purchase orders including receipts and delivery dates.
Create Returns as needed towards purchase order.
Approve all receipts to make sure receipts match purchase order.
Scan all purchase orders and packing slips.
Create priorities based on deadlines with daily, weekly, and monthly demands.
Communicate and work with accounting to assign taxes and GL Codes.
Resolve invoicing discrepancies.
Serve as key contact to handle day-to-day needs of supply chains purchasing needs.
Reconcile purchasing expense reports for credit card use.
Coordinate vendor setup documents.
Order office supplies.
Communicate with engineering if drawings do not match our MRP system.
Review and manage multiple excel reports and all transactional paperwork for accuracy as well as
provide updates on a regular basis.
Manage the supplier database, purchase records and related documentation.
Manage supplier relations and negotiate with vendors for best costs, lead-time and quality including
along with coordinating with management short and long-term contracts.
Grow supplier base quality issues with outside product while collaborating with other departments.
Sales and Operations planning, including demand planning, supply planning, and inventory
management while prioritizing duties.
Manage outside services for calibration from critical suppliers in accordance with ISO 17025 policy.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that drive continuous improvement in the purchasing
process.
Purchasing of capital equipment and other products / services as assigned.
Other duties as needed and / or assigned
Essential Skills and Experience :
Minimum 10 years progressively increasing responsibility in supply chain management or
similar degree
Must have positive attitude and be able to handle fast paced environment with many
deliverables
Exceptional management, analytical, communication and planning skills.
Must possess an extensive knowledge of sound planning and demand based management
practices
Ability to interact effectively with others at all levels within and outside the organization and to
make effective decisions in complex situations
Understand metrology and technical specifications for end user (helpful)
Exceptional knowledge / experience in MS Office Solutions (Excel, Word, Access Etc.)
Exceptional knowledge with ERP processes
