PrideStaff is currently seeking 2nd Shift C oncrete Production Workers / Fabricators for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This position is temp -to hire. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
Salary : $19-25
Shift : M-F 2 : 30pm to 11pm (ability to work over-time and Saturdays) client is working 10 hour days and Saturdays Position Summary
The position makes quality wetcast concrete products in a safe and timely manner by operating various tools and equipment to complete different job functions based on pre-determined schedule.
Essential Job Duties
Critical) Demonstrates willingness to take direction and follows instructions.
Critical) Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
Critical) Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e. : cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
Critical) Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the forms are completed.
Critical) Performs a variety of production duties including but not limited to : setting up the forms for pre-pour inspections, removing excess concrete, and cleaning forms; installing the correct size spacers, knockouts, mesh, etc.; bolting and unbolting forms with hand and / or power tools to prepare for stripping operations.
Critical) Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
Critical) Places concrete into the forms after passing pre-pour inspection; consolidates concrete in accordance with the mix design.
Critical) Finishes concrete with various floats or other concrete tools; places finish on exposed surface with proper finishing tools; properly applies curing treatments. Tools and Equipment
Broom, Hand tools, Personal Protective Equipment, Power Tools, Lifting Equipment Education and Experience
High School or GED highly preferred
6 months of related manufacturing or construction manufacturing experience. Concrete manufacturing highly desired.
Must have experience working outside and must have the ability to work outside in the weather elements.
Must have ability to interpret production drawings
Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
Ability to up to 50lbs on a continuous basis
Must be willing to push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, and stand through-out an 8-hour shift
Must have positive and verifiable work references; strong job stability highly preferred
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $19.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
