Receiving Clerk Position
This role reports directly to the Receiving Lead, where the incumbent will follow established guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement staff to coordinate incoming shipments and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Receive deliveries, verify contents, and inspect for any signs of damage or discrepancy.
- Unload packages from incoming trucks, taking care to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Verify packages against orders and invoices, contacting suppliers as necessary to resolve issues.
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or arranging replacements.
- Label and allocate deliveries to their designated areas, ensuring timely processing and distribution.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to inventory control efforts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receiving clerk or similar position, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
- Operational expertise in forklifts and proficiency in computer programs for data entry.
- Basic math and recording abilities, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant certifications may be advantageous.
Compensation:
$18.00 - $18.00 per hour.
