General Manager (Indoor Golf Studio)

Reports to : Owner / CEO

Our Client is Miami's premier indoor golf studio, combining Trackman simulator technology with a vibrant social environment that includes a full-service bar and quality food offerings (outsourced from third-party). We aim to provide an exceptional experience for golf enthusiasts and socializers alike. As a new venue, we're building a team of passionate and dedicated individuals to help establish our brand and elevate the customer experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive General Manager (GM) to oversee all aspects of our operations. This role requires a leader who thrives in a hospitality-driven environment and can be relied upon to manage the business with minimal oversight. The GM will ensure smooth day-to-day operations while focusing on long-term business success, guest satisfaction, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Manage the daily operations, including simulator rentals, bar and food services, and facility maintenance.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.

Monitor and maintain Trackman simulator functionality and overall technology performance.

Team Leadership

Hire, train, and develop a motivated and high-performing team.

Oversee the head bartender and ensure bar operations run efficiently.

Create and maintain staffing schedules based on business needs.

Foster a positive and professional work environment, encouraging collaboration and accountability.

Customer Experience

Provide an outstanding guest experience by ensuring all staff deliver quality service.

Act as the face of the business, engaging with customers and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Develop and implement strategies to exceed customer satisfaction goals.

Financial Oversight

Oversee budgeting, inventory management, and cost controls to meet financial objectives.

Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to the owner.

Identify areas for revenue growth and implement strategies to optimize profitability.

Bar Management

Supervise bar operations, including inventory control, ordering, and staff training.

Ensure the bar complies with liquor laws and health regulations.

Collaborate with the head bartender to develop and refine the beverage menu.

Marketing and Business Development

Collaborate on marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Organize and execute events, promotions, and partnerships to enhance visibility and revenue.

Pre-Opening Vision and Planning

Assist in creating and implementing the vision, processes, and operational plans for the business prior to opening.

Work closely with the owner to establish workflows, set goals, and develop strategies for a successful launch.

Provide leadership in the setup of systems, hiring, and training to ensure readiness for opening day.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality or venue management, preferably in bar, restaurant, or entertainment settings.

Proficiency in using technology, including POS systems.

Proven ability to manage daily operations, financial performance, and a team of staff.

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.

Exceptional customer service and conflict-resolution skills.

Knowledge of food and beverage regulations and standards.

Familiarity with event planning and marketing strategies.

General knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience opening and establishing new venues.

Passion for golf and knowledge of the golf industry.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

Physical / Sensory Requirements & Work Environment

Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the Bar in a timely basis.

The ability to work in a standing position for a long period of time (up to 10 hours).

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning task occasionally.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must possess basic computer skills, knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.

Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment

opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statutes and their state and local analogues (where applicable) : Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, and NLRA.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 Per Year
