What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Forklift Operator position at PrideStaff?

Description

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the pipe yard.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

3 - 5 years of pipe yard and forklift experience
Experience operating a heavy equipment industrial forklift (25K pounds )
Forklift Certification preferred but not required
Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Must have Heavy Duty (25K lb) experience
Must have experience moving pipes
Must be listed on RESUME

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise

Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards

Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times

Wear the proper safety equipment at all times

Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and / or manager

ALL SHIFTS MON-FRI

OVERTIME AVAILABLE AS NEEDED

1ST SHIFT : 7AM-5PM

18.00 - $20.00

2ND SHIFT :

2 : 30PM - 11 : 00 PM or 3 : 00PM - 1 : 00AM

18.00 - $20.00 $1.00 DIFFERENCE

NIGHT SHIFT : 6PM - 6AM

18.00 - $20.00 $2.00 DIFFERENCE

SPECIAL SCHEDULE ( 4 DAY SPECIAL SHIFT )

7AM - 5PM

18.00 - $20.00 $1.00 DIFFERENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

Regularly lift and / or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and / or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
