The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in production and manufacturing process development, and the design and drafting process, utilizing CAD
tools to create detailed shop drawings and technical drawings. The incumbent Draftsman will become an essential team player on our team and this position requires a strong understanding of design principles, real world construction experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with managers as well as the ability to think outside the box to bring concepts to life.
Responsibilities :
- Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits
- Develop detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards in all drafts produced.
- Review and modify existing designs based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
- Inspect units as necessary to gather information for design improvements or modifications.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs at various stages in the process.
- Thinking creatively and critically to support the team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that actually work.
- Creating and continually updating project drawings lists and creating, editing, and updating standard details for use in projects.
