Job Description : We are looking for a skilled Machine Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for our milling and turning operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD / CAM software, a deep understanding of machining processes, and the ability to troubleshoot and refine programs for maximum efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning operations. ? Use CAD / CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or GibbsCAM) to create tool paths and generate G-code.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for different materials and machining operations.
- Work closely with machinists and engineers to ensure programs meet production requirements.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a library of CNC programs and update documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in machine programming. Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum 2-5 years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in CAD / CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar).
- Blueprint Reading : Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and material properties.
- Machining Knowledge : Familiarity with CNC mills, lathes, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to diagnose and resolve programming or machining issues efficiently.
- Communication : Strong collaboration skills to work with machinists, engineers, and production teams. Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with 5-axis machining and advanced toolpath strategies.
- Knowledge of manual G-code editing and optimization.
- Familiarity with high-speed machining techniques and tool wear analysis
