Quality Assurance Metrologist Job Summary
This position involves performing inspections and setting quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products using metrology tools.
- Program CMMs and set metrology methods per best practices and/or customer requirements.
- Utilize Calypso Programming Software to perform programming and method development.
- Identify and develop process and equipment needs to produce specific products, parts, and components.
- Support manufacturing operations and process engineering initiatives.
- Measure part dimensions using the CMM.
- Familiarize yourself with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic planning, vision, mission, and values.
- Adhere to and support all safety and quality system requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and utilize technology, including metrology tools from handheld to CMMs.
