We are seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our team for a Manufacturing Production facility in Fort Mill, SC ! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control within the production warehouse.
Second Shift : Monday through Friday 3 : 00 PM 11 : 00 PM.
Pay Rate : $16.50 / hr.
As a Material Handler, you are responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) to move goods and products around the warehouse and production areas.
Responsible for the safe and proper handling and movement of all inbound and outbound materials and accurately recording and processing orders in and out of the warehouse.
The Material Handler is responsible for multiple tasks in shipping, receiving, production, and the warehouse.
Functions / Responsibilities
- Unload and Loading Trucks
- Packaging of completed orders
- Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS), radio frequency (RF) scanners, and barcodes to process customer orders, receive a product and relocate items throughout the warehouse
- Consolidates and stores raw and finished goods in their proper locations
- Safely storing material and supplies
- Quality inspection of incoming and outgoing orders
- Perform cycle counts on raw and / or finished inventory and participate in all scheduled physical Inventories
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and working areas including the outside perimeter of the building around docks, common areas, and landscaping
- Assist in the training of new employees as directed by the leadership team
- Identify and communicate any safety concerns and report any property damage
- Perform and document daily forklift (PIT) and equipment inspections
- Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
- Raise any issues or concerns that arise day to day work to the Supervisor, Plant Manager, or President
Qualifications
Education : High School or GED
Experience :
- Forklift experience required, Clamp experience preferred
Skills
- High attention to detail accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies
- Problem Solving work independently and with others to resolve issues
- Collaboration Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $16.50 - $16.50
