Responsibilities :
Answer inquiries regarding patients, clients, and doctor's offices regarding insurance, billing, invoicing, and other concerns
Entering data into medical office software using ICD-10 billing and coding
Filing insurance claims and adjustments
Following up with insurance companies on the back end to follow up and see if the claim has been denied
Medical Collections
Posting charges / payments(electronic and hard copies)
Other general office tasks as assigned
Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information.
Maintain financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
Requirements :
Spanish - Bilingual is a plus
MUST have insurance denials and cash posting experience
Must have knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
MUST be familiar and proficient with ICD-10 billing and coding software
MUST have at least 3 years of experience processing billing and filing insurance claims, appeals, and adjustments
MUST have good phone skills
MUST be able to follow repetitive process for entering data
MUST be a team player and assist medical offices and coworkers when needed
Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Temporary to hire
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $15.00 - $18.00
Salary : $15 - $18
