Hours : Mon-Fri 8 : 30am-5pm
Pay : $50,000 Excellent benefits
Location : Springfield, NJ
PrideStaff Financial is partnering with a local organization in Springfield, NJ to find a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join their team.
As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and maintaining employee records. This position is perfect for individuals eager to take the next step in their accounting career and thrive in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Process payroll using Paychex flex preferred
Good with numbers; help payroll senior run reports from Paychex to excel to calculate employee benefits
Assist ops director with specialty payroll reporting (i.e. life insurance, confidential fringe benefits; 401K processing)
Attention to detail; high level of accuracy; ability to work independently and learn and retain processes, excellent recall
Assist senior payroll person in multiple facets of his job
Keep an accurate record of salary increases, etc.
Must have to ability to keep sensitive information confidential)
Qualifications :
Associates Degree or higher preferred
Previous payroll or accounting experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
