Personal Injury Case Manager: The ideal candidate will be professional and have at least entry level experience working in a personal injury law firm, handling and managing complex personal injury cases.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing updates every 30 days.
- Manage client information efficiently within the case management system.
- Collect and verify client details, including insurance coverage (Medicare/Medicaid) and relevant case-related information.
- Confirm client injuries and medical treatment, assisting in arranging additional care if needed.
- Coordinate with medical providers to manage treatment plans and facilitate medical records requests.
- Track and organize medical bills, records, and case-related expenses, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
- Negotiate bill reductions with providers and handle case-related financial tracking, including attorney fees and lost wages documentation.
- Prepare demand letters, settlement packages, and supporting documents for attorney review and submission to insurance companies.
- Follow up with attorneys and insurance adjusters regarding case settlements and negotiations.
- Oversee the settlement disbursement process, ensuring legal obligations are met and payments are processed correctly.
- Ensure proper documentation and case closure procedures are completed within the system.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- This position is direct hire.
- Pay is $21-$21.50/hr.
- Ability to work 8 a.m-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m-4 p.m. on Friday.
- Must have at least 1 year of recent and relevant experience working in a personal injury law firm and handling complex personal injury cases.
- Case management experience is required.
- Experience with Neos case management software is a plus.
- Customer friendly with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Spanish Bilingual is preferred but not required.
