What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at PrideStaff?
PrideStaff Hattiesburg is seeking a dependable Production Associate on behalf of our client in Moselle, MS! Located only 15 minutes from Hattiesburg, this position is ideal for someone with at least 6 months recent experience in manufacturing or production. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position.
SHIFTS: 1st and 2nd shifts available
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows production schedule to produce required products.
- Exercises judgment and makes decisions related to setups, operations and processes, including minor modifications to pre-programmed computer routines within the limits of standard operating practices.
- Loads raw materials into position.
- Continuously monitors the process to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Completes daily production and other reports as required.
- Unloads material from line and properly packages according to product type.
- Places appropriate labels and/or inspection stamps on labels.
- Maintains department in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
- Observes all safety and environmental procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 6 months recent experience in manufacturing/production.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to competently operate personal computer terminal.
Salary : $15 - $16
