Position Highlights
Main function includes running metal fabrication shop and managing the interactions between Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
Plan, organize, lead and control the flow of work through the company departments in a timely manner while ensuring Quality and On-Time Delivery.
Manage the shop workflow, set priorities, and ensure on-time performance
Review and Approve Fabrication Drawings
Participate in the Make Vs Buy decisions
Communicate with Subcontractors, Outside Fabricators
Maintain proper Raw Material level to support production
Place PO with Subcontractors
Run Weekly and Daily schedules
Provide on-the-job assistance to technicians
Review and check assemblies for accuracy and excellence in workmanship
Accomplish and Maintain High Production Standards
Ensure that Technicians follow procedures and processes
Administer Safety Policies and Procedures
Minimum Requirements :
Lean Manufacturing Experience
Experience in managing Union Shop employees
CNC and Waterjet technology experience
Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and MS Project
3D modeling (preferred Autodesk Inventor), 2D AutoCAD
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
