We are currently seeking QA Laboratory Technicians with some manufacturing and Quality Assurance experience for 3rd shift. Experience in a laboratory environment or restaurant management is also valued.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity!
Pay rate : $19.50
Shift : 9 : 45 PM-6 : 15 AM Monday-Sunday (SIx Days Mandatory OT)
48 Hours a week.
Position Overview :
The QA Laboratory Technician reports to the Inventory / Receiving Manager and is responsible for :
Verifying that product meets or exceeds safe food handling and quality standards.
Collaborating with Operations to ensure set quality parameters are adhered to
Collaborating with Operations to ensure controls in place are functioning as designed
QA Laboratory Technician's Key Job Functions & Responsibilities :
Verify product quality and integrity by checking the production line during the filling of each lot
Monitor the line and equipment for food safety related items such as good manufacturing practices and proper sanitation practices.
Ensure proper use and care of analytical instruments and equipment, including daily calibration checks.
Inspect rework before it is used and make sure documentation provides traceability.
Receive Raw Materials and follow necessary procedures to ensure compliance to company receipt, handling and storage processes.
Assist in problem solving events to determine root cause and establish preventive measures.
Position Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional course work in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or another related discipline is a plus.
Some relevant experience desired in a warehouse environment.
Ability to follow directions.
Dependable and reliable.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow procedures.
Flexible work schedule and the ability to work occasional overtime and some weekends.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
