Essential Functions :
Own specific areas of the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and performing monthly account reconciliations.
Help prepare and review monthly internal financial statements.
Important contributor of continuous development of accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
Drive monthly close process, including working independently and with team members to meet all targets and timelines.
Manage monthly variance analysis and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Finance is required.
Four (4) years of accounting experience is required.
Two (2) years of lead / supervisor experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets and advanced spreadsheet functions. Experience with computer accounting general ledger and other systems that aid in analysis, communication, presentations, and financial reporting, including pivot tables, databases, database access tools, presentation tools, etc. are required.
Experience with the farming and agriculture industry.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
Experience with consolidated or combined financial statements is a plus.
Ability to organize and to prioritize work independently in a diverse, fast paced environment, while working on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Must have the ability to perform detailed variance review and financial analysis. Ability to take a proactive approach to solving problems and communicate to management potential solutions to resolve issues is required.
Summary :
This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for specific areas of the general ledger and financial statements. This information supports effective fiscal planning, reporting, and attainment of strategic goals and objectives of the organization. This position will also have lead responsibilities associated with key functions within the Accounting Department. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring that information required for internal reporting on a consolidated basis and external compliance reporting is accumulated and reported accurately and timely.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $38.00 - $41.00
