What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Supervisor position at PrideStaff?
We are currently seeking a 1st shift Shipping Supervisor for a manufacturing company located in Lagrange, IL. This is a DIRECT HIRE position!
1st shift 8am-4 : 30pm
21.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE
This person will be responsible for directly supervising a department of 5-9 associates. Will carry out supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Job Duties :
- Coordinate the timely release, pick, invoice, and track functions of sales order line items
- Prepare all necessary documentation for the efficient movement of international shipments
- Create and analyze Available to Ship reports and authorize release of finished goods from stockroom
- Review Hold codes and investigate internally what needs to be done to remove the Hold
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Accounting, Planning, and Materials departments
- Prepare necessary documentation for international shipments such as export documentation, invoicing, and packing slips
- Coordinate transportation for international shipping, scheduling pickups
- Complete data entry of order number and tracking numbers into company Enterprise system
- Coordinate with Production Planning out of sequence releases and substitutions
- Comply with all special handling requirements as specified
- Document packages accurately and / or label as required for each shipment
- Provide shipping status to internal departments as needed
- Participate in physical inventories as needed
- Perform special projects for Manager, as required
