We are seeking a Trade Compliance & Contracts Manager to join a motivated team of high-performing scientists, engineers, and technicians. This position is responsible for building, managing, and enhancing compliance activities, with particular emphasis on trade and contract compliance. The primary focus will be compliance with the regulations and standards of the U.S. Department of Commerce (Bureau of Industry and Security), the U.S. Department of State (Directorate of Defense Trade Controls), and the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Office of Foreign Assets Control).

Trade Compliance & Contracts Manager Responsibilities :
Trade Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC, etc.)
Manage export and import compliance programs, including licensing, classifications, and documentation
Collaborate with supply chain teams and others to maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle
Develop and implement procedures to effectively manage export control activities (including restricted parties list screening, etc.)
Act as the international trade compliance empowered official Contract Administration
Maintain complete contract records and develop / maintain contract management processes and procedures
Maintain oversight of contract sign-off from appropriate stakeholders and manage version control of contracts
Create contract summaries to communicate contract requirements to appropriate stakeholders
Provide guidance on the contracting process and contract interpretation
Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors / sub-contractors General Compliance and Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with government contracting and trade compliance
Conduct compliance training programs for employees and stakeholders
Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and external auditors
Recommend program procedures, policies, and strategies that promote the program's goals while complying with guidance and regulations
Assist internal audit team with review of processes and procedures
Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's compliance framework
Assist with assessment and management of conflicts of interest
Oversee the shipping and receiving process, including associated processes and procedures in order to ensure compliance with project / product requirements and regulations
Trade Compliance & Contracts Manager Requirements :
Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, International Trade, or related field
7 years of experience in trade compliance
In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, OFAC and applicable customs regulations
Experience working in the defense or aerospace industry
Technical export expertise in contract review, cross functional training, and business support
Strong risk assessment skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Contract administration / management experience
2 years of government contracting experience
PREFERRED : Certifications such as CCEP, CICP, or CPCM
