JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical design using AutoCAD and Revit on a variety of commercial building projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as Lead Designer on projects
- Act as Project Manager and Coordinator for projects
- Coordinate the work of team members
- Lead the quality control process on projects
- Coach and mentor any new electrical team members
- Provide technical expertise on projects
- Provide electrical design via Revit and AutoCAD for commercial projects, including specifications
- Perform initial site investigations and observations of work from completed construction
- Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines
- Maintain assigned project schedules
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Additional assignments may occur

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Six (6) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of lighting design, power distribution, low voltage design, and energy requirements for commercial and residential buildings
- Knowledge of completing photometric calculations with AGi32 or Visual
- Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 101, IBC, and NFPA 72.
- Knowledge of Energy codes and sustainable design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of (6) years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings
- Professional Engineer Licensure
- Previous project manager and/or senior designer experience
- Certifications in Energy Management
- Advanced Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and Lighting software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A large portion of this work is in an office setting. There will be times that it is required to lift loads less than 20lbs. During site visits, there may be requirements to squat, kneel, climb stairs, and stand in heat for long periods of time. While this is not a frequent occurrence, it is possible that the situation arises.
Driving long distances may be required at times to travel to construction sites.
