What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Care Physician position at Prima-CARE Medical Center?
Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Part-time)
Prima CARE is recruiting a primary care physician to join an established Primary Care practice in Swansea, Massachusetts. The position is intended to be part-time at 2-3 days per week, which would include at least a partial day of work on Fridays.
MD or DO training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Board-certified or -eligible) is required, and the age range of patients can be determined by the provider. A recent graduate would be considered, but primary care experience would be a “plus”. The physician would work alongside 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers in this practice, working independently, but serving as their collaborating physician. We are not considering visa waiver candidates at this time.
Prima CARE uses eClinicalWorks as our EMR and we leverage technology for optimal communication, efficiency, and productivity. Our patients are admitted to our own Hospitalist team and specialists are readily-available. Night, weekend, and holiday is covered by experienced Prima CARE Nurse Practitioners. Lab, X-ray, and a Walk-in Clinic are available at our various locations.
PrimaCARE, based in Fall River, is a 120-physician multispecialty group with 160 providers, including a strong Primary Care base. PrimaCARE is physician-owned and successfully managed. We have absolute respect for individual practice styles, while insisting on the highest quality of personalized care throughout the group. Practice logistics, including billing, collections, and insurance company contracting are centralized within PrimaCARE, and lab, imaging, specialty consultants, and other supporting services are readily available within Prima CARE.
Salary is competitive, with a retirement plan, a CME allowance, and moving expenses provided. Other benefits are available or negotiable, depending on the number of hours worked.
The area is a lovely with various living environments and excellent schools. Providence is only 20 minutes, Boston only 1 hour, and Cape Cod and Newport less than an hour away.
