Medical Office Receptionist
Location: Fairfax, Merrifield, South Riding,Tysons, VA (travel between locations required)

We are a growing and highly-rated medical practice with locations in Fairfax, Merrifield , and South Riding, Tysons, VA. Our physicians have been recognized as 'Top Doctors' in the Washington DC region, and we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for a dedicated Medical Office Receptionist who can work at any of our locations, depending on staffing needs. This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel between our locations.
Responsibilities:
As a Medical Receptionist at Prima Medicine LLC, you will be responsible for various front-office tasks, including:
- Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Ensure smooth and efficient patient flow at each location.
- Collecting Payments: Collect copays, outstanding balances, and process transactions accurately.
- Scheduling Appointments: Schedule patient appointments, manage calendars, and confirm visits.
- Managing Communication: Address patient concerns, route phone calls, and handle faxes promptly.
- Handling Patient Inquiries: Answer questions and provide information with respect, empathy, and diligence.
- General Office Support: Perform other standard duties typically required in an outpatient medical office setting.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Office Receptionist is preferred.
- EMR Experience: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required. Experience with ATHENA is a plus!
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to be empathetic and efficient when assisting patients at the front desk.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members.
- Strong Work Ethic & Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative, with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Leadership Qualities: If you have leadership experience and are a self-starter, we would love to hear from you.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel between locations (Fairfax, Merrifield, South Riding) as needed. A reliable form of transportation is required.
