Ranch Security Guard
POSITION SUMMARY: The Ranch Security Guard will maintain safe and secure environment for employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance; inspecting fields, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all company services and operating standards.
- Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.
- Report suspicious activities to police department as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous security guard experience preferred.
- Experience, and other training or certification may be substituted for education.
Certifications
- Security guard license preferred but not required.
- Clean, valid CA Driver’s License.
Language
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in security operations and procedures.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to open air farming environment, stone fruit orchards (peaches, plums, nectarines), subject to natural weather. Exposure to extreme temperature, humidity and wetness, dust, wind, heat, cold, gas, fumes, chemicals, and other natural elements.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
