JOB SUMMARY
The Pre-Weigh Technician is responsible for pre-weighing all raw materials by specific batch card instructions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews batch ticket schedules daily and takes proactive measures to ensure their completion.
• Organizes and prepares materials carefully to be measured.
• Weighs all ingredients precisely, timely, and efficient manner-based on formula.
• Records weight, lot numbers, and ingredients on batch tickets.
• Places tickets appropriately onto the finished pallet.
• Stages pallets for forklift operators to take to blending rooms • Cleans, seals, and labels all ingredients for return to the warehouse.
• Keeps all tools, containers, equipment clean, and in good condition.
• Maintains a sanitized work environment.
SCOPE
• No supervisory or managerial responsibility.
• Normal responsibilities associated with monitoring and reporting everyday expenses.

PRE-WEIGH TECHNICIAN
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• High School diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
• Two years of experience
• Experience in food grade manufacturing facility required
• Experience in pre-weigh required
• Certification in Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITS
• Working knowledge of raw materials handling, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing
• General knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements as well as safety and risk standards within a manufacturing environment.
• General knowledge of cGMP systems for liquid and powder to secure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes.
• General knowledge of data entry into NetSuite or similar software.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.
• Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Generally, the work environment is that of a manufacturing plant, specifically one that manufactures food products.
• May be required to work weekends, nights, or holidays as a regular part of the job.
• The incumbent is:
o Continuously required to stand.
o Occasionally required to walk or move from place to place.
o Continuously required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
o Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
o Continuously required to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, or moving items.

o Continuously work near moving mechanical parts.
o Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals.
