Having used all sorts of harsh prescription creams and pills to treat her acne as a teenager and young adult (and dealing with red, raw, irritated skin as a result), Bethany was blown away by the effects she eventually experienced after ditching the harsh chemicals and replacing them with simple natural ingredients. Bethany’s journey inspired her to start Primally Pure (with an initial $250 order for ingredients supplies) to help others experience the benefits of using clean products.

Although Primally Pure has grown exponentially since our launch in 2015 (an average of 175% year over year), our team still exemplifies the same level of passion and scrappiness that allowed Bethany to succeed back when she was making products in her kitchen, labeling them in her living room and shipping packages in her bedroom.

These qualities and more have enabled us to launch several new products and curate buckets of transformative clean living content over the years, all while maintaining a return rate of just over 1% and a customer retention rate of nearly 60%.

T H E J O B

R O L E S R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S

We are hiring for a Quality Technician to help us ensure that non-conforming products do not continue through the production process and are not distributed to customers. In this role, you will conduct routine quality inspections throughout production, including in-process and final inspections. During these inspections, you will use a variety of precision measuring tools and sensory evaluations to ensure that products follow specifications. You will also perform equipment calibrations and perform workstation audits. Applicants should have some type of manufacturing industry experience from a quality control position.

• Perform inspections and analysis of incoming materials, in process products, and finished products to ensure Primally Pure compliance.
• Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in the production process. Work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
• Actively investigate quality issues to find root causes/implement quality improvements/implement and audit sustainment plans.
• Work with multi-levels of positions on quality-related issues including Employees, Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Conduct internal audits of production processes to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, quality specifications, and housekeeping requirements.
• Create and present summaries of audit findings to management, develop corrective action plans with the responsible personnel, and track progress and closure of corrective actions.

When we consider the ideal candidate for this role, these are the top qualities that come to mind:

• Quality related experience in cosmetics required. Minimum 2 years experience in a quality control position.
• Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to learn and use a variety of precision measuring tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality related systems.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work in environments that require frequent bending, reaching and lifting.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
