Shipping Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Shipping Supervisor Shift: 6am - 2:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Shipping Supervisor oversees the shipping department to ensure SLA is met with proper order fulfillment. Supports the Shipping team in achieving daily shipping goals. Communicates effectively with the CX team regarding orders potentially missing SLA. Works diligently with exceptional attention to detail and maintains a positive attitude to support a healthy work culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with the Shipping Manager to drive daily, weekly, & monthly shipping goals via positive team leadership and engagement.
• The Supervisor will provide daily direction and leadership to the Shipping department team members.
• The Supervisor will be responsible for certain shifts that might include employees from other departments.
• The Supervisor will assist in training, developing, overseeing, and motivating the shipping department.
• The Supervisor will assist in hiring and retaining all staff needed to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Use shipping software (ShipStation and Shopify) to organize and prioritize order processing through order combination as well as processing from oldest to newest.
• Communicate with the CX team to address any orders potentially failing to meet SLA.
• Answer/address all shipping exceptions/alerts from emails and Shopify tags.
• Prepare and present KPI’s
• Work with the Shipping Manager to help implement solutions for process optimization.
• Works with team members to maintain a high level of training for all shipping areas.
• Participates in the company’s safety programs and brings safety awareness to the level of the workers.
• Supports all Customer Service, Collaboration, Event, Marketing, and Media support shipments as needed.
• Clean up after oneself and others during and at the end of each shift, maintaining clean and filled shipping areas.
• Maintains a safe work environment in Shipping areas
• Must be able to provide and support a friendly work environment to boost morale and output.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma
• 2 years in leadership; Shipping and Warehouse/Inventory experience preferred
• Shipping Platform experience (Shipstation, Shopify) preferred

• Highly organized with the ability to constantly manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, remaining solution-oriented and paying attention to detail
• Uses excellent social and written communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse team members, promoting collaboration and alignment

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Physical demands include working with a computer for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying, and occasionally lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds
• Travel is not required for this position, but opportunities for learning and development may be outside of the office headquarters

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
