Certified Medical Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and upholding our organization's commitment to whole person wellbeing.
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant provides support to healthcare providers by performing administrative and clinical tasks. This includes greeting patients, obtaining medical information, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining accurate records.
Main Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and obtain clinical, financial, and demographic information
- Prepare specimens for lab testing as ordered by physicians
- Log in and dispose of sample medications according to policy
- Perform office duties as needed
- May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or certification from a recognized organization (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, ARMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
