What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant position at Primary Care of Illinois, SC?
We are looking for a Certified Phlebotomist or Certified Medical Assistant for a private practice AdvocateAurora aligned internal medicine office. Hours are likely to be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 am until approximately 3 to 6 pm. You will be working with a goal of providing outstanding quality medical care in a small team setting. Strong people skills and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and accurately document basic medical history
- Obtain blood pressure, temperature, and other vital sign readings
- Perform ECGs
- Draw blood and prepare samples appropriately to send to outside laboratories or for in-house testing
- Give immunizations and other therapeutic injections
- Assist in answering phones and other typical front office tasks
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Phlebotomy Certification or Medical Assistant Certification required
