The Clinic Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the training and supervision of clinical staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans and treatment protocols.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for clinical staff.
- Implement coding procedures for billing purposes and ensure accurate coding practices.
- Provide support in emergency situations by utilizing basic life support skills as needed.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals to enhance the patient experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in roles related to geriatrics, internal medicine, or urgent care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is essential for effective communication within the clinic.
- Experience with basic life support techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and X-ray protocols will be beneficial in supporting clinical operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
