We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant, EMT or phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our physicians. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical laboratory procedures, attention to detail and excellent patient service skills. Phlebotomy proficiency is a must.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Assist with office procedures such as EKG, vision screening (training will be provided)
- Answer the phone from prospective patients.
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
- Conduct venipuncture and other laboratory techniques as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment, including sterilization of instruments.
- Educate patients on laboratory procedures and provide instructions for specimen collection.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols within the clinical setting.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory procedures and laboratory techniques.
- Ability to perform venipuncture
- Proficient in specimen collection processing, including venipuncture.
- Understanding of human physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.05 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
