Counselors and psychotherapists at Bridge Clinic work with individuals, families, and groups of individuals experiencing difficulties with life situations or with mental health concerns. Counselors and therapists provide diagnostic and therapeutic services in both clinic and integrated (school-based, primary care, etc.) settings. Your work at Bridge Clinic opens access to individuals covered by Medicaid and commercial insurance, and those who are underinsured or uninsured.

A team of like-minded professionals engaged in behavioral health service expansion and redesign; focused on improving access to high quality specialty mental health services and comprehensive mental health integration in a whole health model of care. We are changing our care delivery system by integrating primary care, oral care, and behavioral health care while continuing to offer traditional specialty behavioral health services (Psychotherapy, Psychological Evaluation, Psychiatric Medication Management, and Care Coordination). Our counselors and therapists work closely with other providers from other behavioral health disciplines (psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatric prescribers, etc.) AND other medical disciplines (primary care and dental providers, health education, outreach, etc.) to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the people we serve.

What is required of you?
- Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Work Experience: Completion of Clinical Supervision Hours, Relevant specialty or scope of practice.
- Licensure: Corresponding Wisconsin License or ability to be licensed.
- Certification: BLS certification or ability to acquire in the first 90 days

- Board Certified in Professional or Specialty Area of Practice.
- Graduation from an approved accredited University.
- Strong theoretical orientation with common factors approach to care.
- Experience or applicable interventions for integrated setting (dental anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, health behaviors/changes, etc.).
Ideal candidates have:
- Strong diagnostic and conceptualization skills.
- Ability to teach, train, supervise, and consult with other providers.
- Strong communication, networking, and outreach skills.
- Flexible and adaptive professional who can work independently and in a coordinated team.
- Program Design, evaluation, or quality improvement skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality compassionate ethical and culturally competent diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Serve an average of 5 clients per day, 25 clients per week (fulltime)
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and make independent diagnoses.
- Develop treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Conduct individual, couple, family, and group sessions within the scope of practice, privileging, and limits of experience and training.
- Monitor client progress and complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (assessments, initial and updated treatment plans, progress notes, discharge plans, etc.) within 5 business days of the appointment.
- Work collaboratively with Bridge Clinic medical and dental staff, and community partners.
- Complete risk assessments and provide crisis intervention when needed.
- Maintain and develop community referral resources.
